For awhile now my machine has been hard to shift from P to N to D. I have to rock it a lil then it will go. how do I fix it

I would make a bet that you put the spring seat in backwards

If the spring seat is in wrong it will not be putting the pressure on the inner bearing race . It will be pushing on the outside of the oneway and that will make the Sparks and cause the secondary to turn non stop

The side with the deep groove faces the outside of the clutch , as part of the spring goes in it
The side without the deep groove goes against the oneway

When you go to put it together . First the inner pulley on the bike , then the oneway , then side the spring seat down the post touching the one way with the deep groove showing . Then put the spring on. Then the outer pulley half and governor cup go next . Time your lockup and slowly do your bolt until your sure it's all good
