Rear CVT - is it junk?

Had a clunking noise which sounded like was coming from the rear drivers side wheel. Lifted the machine, tried to replicate the noise by running in reverse and drive but couldn't hear it without a load on wheels. Removed the rear shocks and both wheels dropped a bit. Then while playing around some more with the wheel both rear wheels dropped considerably more and it looks like the CV joint on the drivers side separated at the wheel. Haven't pulled the axle out yet but can the CV joint be "put back together" or will I need to replace the entire assembly including axle?
Also with the trailing arms fully dropped is there any torque on the sway bar that will be an issue when removing/reinstalling its bolts?
I have the digital Service Manual from Midwest Manuals but there is only one page covering the Rear Suspension and it is just an exploded view of the parts. There are no pages explaining how to remove the trailing arm.

The bar has no load on it. And arms will only drop as far as the axles allow. So if both shocks are unhooked the arms are all the way down. Unless it pulled the cv out of the diff. The axle has a circle clip that hold it into the cv joint . So should be able to pull the cv boot back and put shaft back in the joint .

After disconnecting the second shock if it drops when pulling the bolt out it does have enough force to dislodge the axle from the rear diff. So check the gap between the diff and the inner cv to see if it just pulled out before taking everything apart. The cv is normally a pain to pop off the axle shaft . By pain I mean hammer to separate them .

The axle has disconnected from the splined shaft at the wheel. I can turn the wheel without the axle turning. The axle is still connected at the diff.
I am sure the CV has come apart at the wheel but don't know if it can be put back together and be useable.

Can the large boot clamp at the wheel end be removed without removing the trailing arm? It looks like it is recessed pretty far into the trailing arm

cannedham Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the manual ace posted and it looks like I am missing pages for the front and rear suspension - and who knows what else

It is there in the manual ace posted but not in the digital manual I have. In my manual there is just the one exploded parts page. The the next page goes into the Air Controlled Suspension for the next 25 pages. And I ain't even got Air Controlled Suspension...
