Low rpm engagement.

Has anyone found a clutch kit that lowers the engagement rpm? I hunt in some nasty swamp and my tires are at to high an rpm to just crawl out when winching. I either burn a spot on the belt or just dig in. Mostly a hunting rig so maintaining top speed is not a concern. Also let me know if I posted this in the correct forum.

Even in low range.

I put a Dalton Clutch kit on and set it to engage my clutch at 1650RPM and it actually engages more like 1750 but in low gear I can craw aroung on my farm at 2 to 3 mph no problem. I can tell it is geared alot lower in low gear and I don't think it has lowered my top speed by much. It was a little pricey at $250 if I remember right but I like it. My kit came with weights, a different primary spring (green I think) and a different secondary spring. There may be other kits out there that can gear it even lower or you could call Dalton and talk to them.

Thumbs up for the Dalton clutch kit. I now have a 1650 engagement rpm that allows for Mitch better crawling.
