I have a 2012 Commander 800 R, I was on a ride a couple weeks ago it was running like a champ and all of sudden it just dies. I had my nephew come tow me back home. Got home and thought about not being able to hear the fuel pump run when I switch on the ignition, checked the 5amp fuse and it was blown. I replaced the fuse and it immediately started up again, ran about 10 minutes and bew the fuse again, replaced it again and it immediately started again and ran for several minutes. I started looking on this forum and saw where most people.were saying the the fuel pump was probably going bad,I ordered a new fuel pump, I replaced it and the filter same results. I then ordered a fuel pressure regulator and got another replacement pump, changed all of that out and again with the same results. It will crank right up then run for several minutes then blow the fuse. It doesn't matter if it's idling or if I'm romping on it, fuse will blow, replace it and starts and runs perfectly until the fuse blows.
I'm at a loss!!!! Could it be a relay? I don't think it's a short because it always starts right back up! Please help, you guys and gals have always come through for me!!!! Thanks in advance!
