I got the shop manual. I look to see if they talk about it.

 

Just looked. There is no mention on how to remove them.

 

I think you have to take the rear tires off to access it.. Holy Crap!!!!

I took a second look tonight and it appears you just need to take most of your console plastics off and you can get it from the top

 

I used a swivel socket with long extension. Its not that bad.

 

What spark plugs are yall running? Just curious...wasn't sure if yall were just toying with the machine or replacing plugs.

 

You just need some feeler gauges and adjust.

 

here is a feeler gauge trick for the can-ams I learned from doing the valve gap on my outty..
1. I crack open the nut
2. insert the feeler gauge and tighten the screw till it just stops me being able to freely move the gauge.
3. then I remove the screwdriver and put the wrench back on and tighten the nut.
once tightened it makes the gap a smidgen wider and the gauge can be moved with a slight resistance.

try it it really makes it a lot easier

I believe he meant the valve cover, then look at the sprocket indexes from the side, line them up for TDC compression... just a guess.

Usually you pull the crank sensor for indexing

Boy if ya don't read from the beginning you get lost in a hurry. It goes from spark plug accessibility to valve adjustment. lol I thought, you guy's are really good if you adjust the valves by removing the spark plugs. lol

 

Ok if your still talking about spark plugs in this thread then I run E3. I took out the NGK but I still have them for a back up. The front spark plug isn't hard to get to at all, just take the side panel off and there it is. Yes, it is harder than the back but not bad compared to some cars Ive worked on in the past.

Finding the plugs and getting to them is a no brainer...
What is wrench combo you use to remove the front plug?
I tried getting a thin extension with a "U" joint on it but it binds on the head/valve cover.
THAT was the question.
