So I finally decided to see what it takes to change a belt in the used 2012 commander I've had for around a year. Figured I make a preemptive strike before it broke on me at the worst possible time.
What I found was it was fine and it is not stock so I put the cover back on. What I don't know is what model STM it is or how to even unload the secondary to change the belt. Thanks for any input 20210626_142005.jpg 20210626_145101.jpg 20210626_145121.jpg

Thanks cannedham, guess I won't need that bolt I bought for a stock clutch.
Do I need to go to STM for the tool shown in the video to release the secondary?

I would guess, unless it's in the bottom of your glovebox. I think the guy in the video said it came with the clutch. It doesn't look expensive, and if it is, looks awful easy to make. Metric threaded rod, a spacer, and a nut.

It's not, but now I am remembering something like that in a big tote full of miscellaneous stuff that came with this thing. There were the factory seat belts, window nets, visco lock front diff with 200 miles on it, factory air cleaner box etc. I will have to drag that tote out and look again.
Thanks cannedham, appreciate the input
