Shock Therapy Update

I spoke to ST about 6-8 months ago regarding the Commander dual rate spring upgrade. I just got off the phone with them and the XT dual rate springs are still being worked on. He did say they are going to be compatible with the stock shock and would be under the $800.00 mark and could be ready in 6 months for those that are still interested.

Being it’s taking so long that means they haven’t done anything to this point . I’ll be surprised if they ever do a setup for the new commander being they never had a set for the old ones.

I saw them on the website a couple months ago. The setup was on John Conley's XTP over a year ago when I saw a YouTube review of his XTP. I was thinking about getting them but I hesitated cause of concern about the shock tube wear and have not decide to do it yet. I actually was thinking of a single Eibach spring for mine. I had a great experience on my Wolverine with a single Eibach replacing the OEM 'progressive' spring on it, so I am leaning the same way with my style of riding and expectations.
Just checked and dual springs are on ST website for XTP, price has gone up from $800 to $900 .
But now I have to ask, do you mean an actual single spring that is a dual rate spring, instead of the assumption I made of the dual spring setup lol?
I have single Eibach's on the Commander 450's on back and 250's on front. It has long travel . They are single springs no sway bars. The OG Maverick has Eibach dual rates. I bought their stage 3. The front springs were 200's and too soft. I had to crank it to the point the tender springs were collapsed to get the ride height. I put 250's on the front .It has 350's on back with a sway bar. I like it. I hit G-outs fast and don't want to bottom out.

What year is your machine and what shock size? I might be able to hook you up with some springs for cheap. The Commander is the X model with Fox Podium shocks.

I have a 2021 as in my sig. FOX† 2.5 PODIUM QS3 Piggyback shocks. I do not know spring lengths. Yet. The BRP est dry weight for XTP is 1725. I probably have close to an additional 200 lbs in stuff, mostly from seats back. (side rock sliders, light bar, Rigid pods, windshield, camera monitor, door bags, battery pod, Nav Tablet, rear net, visor, radio, first aid, extra battery & switch & wires, jack, tarp, chair, OEM rack, ax, fire ext, 2 gal gas, medium cooler, tool box, compressor, tire repair, small chain saw & acc, tow straps, hammer, small gorilla bar, utility wire, extra belt and a custom bumper with rear camera) I have noticed it has settled in rear since I first got it, lolol. Plus the fuel, oil and water and then my 195 and it needs some better springs. I noticed I do need to preload rear a little more before I ride again.

You can give these guys a call. It is hard to adjust when the stock spring rates are a mystery.
