I just purchased a used 2011 can am commander 1000 XT. It has 5500 miles on it. After getting it home I realized the clutch needed to be rebuilt. I rebuilt both the primary & secondary clutches and the one-way bearing. The commander has a serious engine braking problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. It is not fun when you back off the throttle.

If there’s a problem it’s in the secondary . But they tend to lock the wheels up from time to time especially if you are turning when you let off the throttle .

After doing some more research I think you are spot on. I ordered a new cam & spring. Thanks for helping me out.
