Just bought a HD10 DPS last night and all is right with the world. As far as the locking differential switch, the manual says "up" is on. When I do this, the light on the switch goes out. So, light out = on? Thanks

Would expect the manual to be right, however to confirm, turn it on and drive on some hard pack dirt, not loose, it its very hard to steer either direction then turn the switch the other way, should steer easy peasy , voila, stiff is on light on the wheel is off.

Played around a little tonight on gravel. Switch up is definitely locked (outside rear skids and sprays rock in tight turn...and light is out. Switch down, light on and steers with one finger. Well, OK then...

When plow in with my defender should I have 4x4 on as well as differential lock?
