I, like many have also experienced no crank on start on my 2012 Commander 1000 with a hot engine.
It does start after cooling down. Sounds like a high resis connection to the starter when it acts up. I don't have a manual that shows the location of the starter solenoid so I can start sectionalizing the problem as it occurs.. Where is this thing?

The start solenoid is above the battery. Is the battery charging? You might check your voltage at the battery terminals at rest, and again with engine running.
