from what I see on the web, I don’t see any tricks to getting nutserts out on winch plate that just spin. Have winchless 2022 1000DPS because I can’t get out, and dealer is saying I am SOL unless I pay them even though it’s brand new…

Can you post a picture of where you’re referring too? I have done some work on mine and may be able to help but I don’t know where specifically your talking about

I can’t really tell what exactly you have going on but I’ve gotten buggered nutserts out by taking a small flat cold chisel around the size of a pencil and then getting it under the lip of the nutsert and collapsing it inwards on all sides. I then dig it out with pics, hooks and needle nose pliers.

If it still has a bolt in it, cut the head off with a dremel cut off wheel. Then get a pair of vise grips on the remaining stud and work it back and forth until friction and metal fatigue causes the stud and some of the nutsert to come out. Then follow the first paragraph.

Wait a darn minute...am I missing something here??? This is brand new and the dealer won't warranty this??? You need to get on the phone to BRP and let them know. That is just wrong.
Yes, Brand spanken new, The dealer, Alpha Powersports, won’t return calls… I called brp and they said take somewhere else so they can evaluate…. More on Thursday when I take in…

Thanks, I may need to dive deeper into your response depending on what brp says
