Factory bearings only sealed on one side . Need to be greased every 1000 miles to get any life out of them. The upgrades are sealed on both side . Last twice as long and you don’t have to grease them . Just replace them once they go bad.

Well not that far but the 18 & up 1000's use a Mave NA clutch and for some reason ( only known by the Gnomes who work in engineering for BRP)the spring well in the Mav outer sheave is a different depth, requiring a thin shim to get the correct performance from the spring. However it is NOT true for the 800's as they use the same outer sheave as all previous models even after 2018 so just order the commander spring at $35.99.>> There Grumpy just woke up, HA,HA.

This little John Deere colored spring is the cats meow. It makes take offs so much smoother and allows you to creep around sub-5mph with an engaged belt. They should have came this way from the factory. My wife got it for me from uatv-tech for Christmas.

It would normally have been pretty easy to install except that my primary bolt was pretty stuck. I broke one Allen socket and had to go get another. Ace encouraged me to give it a second try with heat and not an impact. Lol. I went ahead and replaced my clutch rollers and installed new buttons (sliders shoes) while I the primary off.
Ok so it helps with the jerking and snatching on take offs. That would be great and not have me worried that it’s gonna break something as I do a lot of starting and starting and turning around and such. Does it take away from any performance that you can tell?

It does not change the performance. It only engages the belt at a lower rpm.
