Hey guys! I just installed a Ridgid Industries 10" light bar on my Commander. When I bring the red, blue & black wires back to my switch, the light that lights up my "switch" stays on. I don't want this to happen so I just didn't connect the black wire. I only connected the red & blue to power the light bar. Is it OK to not connect the black wire? I believe it's a ground. I have a relay & an in-line fuse in my wiring harness.

Tks: Mark.

There are two white plugs behind the dash . Ground the black wire then use one of the plugs to turn light on when key is on and off when key is off. If you are running a relay and it’s wired correctly the light should have went out with the key off. Only way to get that light to be on with key light possible is to wire into it. Black is ground to frame . Red is power to switch and blue is power to signal the relay to power the light up.
