I'm gonna be replacing the inner secondary sheave and helix on my 12 Limited. Should I replace them with the ones for a 2013 that have the torsion spring or just put it back stock? Or will these even work on a 12?

Torsional spring is only thing different. You can use 13 sheaves and helix with 12 spring. I used 12 spring in my 13 4600 miles no issues.

I took mine out at 400 miles not sure it didn't make less noise with it out than when it was in. Definitely didn't get louder.

I've read that it's kind of a trick to get (and keep) the ends of the spring inserted and the correct preload put on it as you re-install everything. If there's no benefit I'll just put the original spring back in.
Thanks

Yeah you stick the ends in the holes. Then twist and push at same time. It's a lot easier with the flat spring. It's just push and start the bolt.
