Sport is full power. Eco is 60% power. I myself haven’t figured out the trail crap . Not so sure that with active trail Will actually lock in the smart lock when it picks up excessive wheel spins . Those options are on the x3 also but I personally can’t tell that anything changes between trail and active trail.

I had read a while back that some were using ECO in slow rocky\rock crawling situations. Basically taking away the initial low end power to make it less jumpy, say if your foot would bounce on the pedal and so on. I tested it on quite a few different trails and it does seem to have some advantages, but I wedge my foot to the side of the tranny housing it locks it pretty well so I leave it in Sport. Just my two cents worth
Eco mode does stop throttle stabs . Not only reducing the power but delaying the signal so it doesn’t recognize when your foot is bouncing in the pedal .
