Excessive Heat inside cab console 2021 Can Am Commander XT 1000R

Bought this new 2021 commander XT 1000R in April and have just used it around the farm.Has 22 hours on it. Went on our first mountain ride and was very disappointed in the heat coming from the console down by our legs. Temps running normal range but had to stop ever 15 minutes or so and get out just to cool off our legs.I have notified Can Am regarding this problem and have made appt with dealer where we purchased this machine. Very disappointed because there big sales pitch was no more heat in cab since they had moved the engine to the rear under the dump bed to alleviate this problem as they had in previous years. I was told , this is the first they have heard of my complaint and I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar issues !!!
Thanks ,

Mine seems way hotter than buddies 2012. Floors hot and a lot of heat comes up between the seat belt latches. Have had higher than normal temps but the high 30's low 40's deg C is likely cooler than many places in the US.
What year is yours 2021? We put our Yetti cups in the cup holders provided and the heat melted almost all the ice.
There’s some posts on the maverick forum regarding the maverick sport/trail which is essentially the same involving insulating where the radiator lines run through and maybe another thing or two.

Thank you. Hopefully they will figure out our problem August 5 We have an appointment then.
I just bought a 2021 XT in June. First two rides were without a windshield. I never once noticed a heat problem, so little heat that a heat problem never even entered my mind. I just installed a SuperATV Flip windshield and went for a 120 mile ride Sunday. The minute the windshield was closed or in either partially open position, you can feel very high heat on the side of your lower leg (very uncomfortable) closest to the center console, and cab gets very hot inside (also very uncomfortable); open the window, heat is gone instantly. Very disappointing. How can a manufacturer redesign a brand new machine and not know about this problem? Why should I pay $18,000 for a brand new machine and have to research and develop a homemade solution to fix an obvious design flaw that Can Am had to of known about.

Have you contacted CAN AM support ? I did and they have made a note regarding this problem and we have a service scheduled for August 5. They assured me that they will take care of this problem but they have not received any other calls or concerns regarding this heat issue. We purchased the full windshield not knowing that it could cause excessive heat in cab so we also purchased the side vents another $200 that allows airflow into the cab but it did not take care of the heat at your feet.

Yep, they do get HOT, I have the 2016 1000 LTD. and I take my doors off all summer, in the winter I appreciate the heat, but not in the summer, I don't even try to put anything in the cup holders. It is a downfall for sure.

2021 models were totally redesigned !!! This is there sells pitch as they moved the engine back under the tilt bed to get rid of the heat inside the unit. I realize you can remove doors and windshield but we should not have to. The heat ours is making us unbearable on your legs both driver and passenger.
I agree Deb, we shouldnt have to remove doors and windshields for comfort, the redesign should be more effective.

Thanks for the phone number. Just called and reported mine as well. They told me to contact my dealer to take a look, but I know the dealer I bought it from isn't going to do anything about it.
