I'm tired of looking through all the different threads and not finding what I need. Can someone explain how to run a 2 battery setup (in english) please?

If you want simple
Wire the two together.
Positive to positive
Negative to negative

That is the very most simple way .
There are lots of ways with dual battery gauges and isolators and extra fuse boxes running added accessories.

I installed a OEM battery on the passenger side and wired it in with a switch that I can run off either battery or both batteries.

That is the exact same as my dual setup. Works perfectly.

How did you run your wires? I'm interested in this kind of setup...

I took the center dash panel off and run them across the frame to the other side. I covered the positive wire with an old garden hose just to be sure it wouldn't rub through and short out.
