I went out to move my Commander and found the battery dead, thought I must have left something on. I hooked up the charger and it pegged to full charge and kicked out. I removed the battery and it took a charge normally, put back in and when I went to hook up the negative side big spark. I stopped and took the battery out and hooked up my jump start box. When I turned it on I got some clicking from the fuse box, but no ignition or gauges. I am at a loss, has anyone else had this happen?? I am open to suggestions. I have unhooked my winch and power steering and still the same.

Thanks!!!

Sounds like a wire has rubbed and is shorted to ground. Check all your wiring harness for possible places it may have rubbed also check inside the engine compartment since that where all the heat is maybe a wire melted somewhere around the motor.

Pull one fuse at a time, when the short is gone then you have located the shorted circuit.
Trouble shoot from there.
