I purchased a 2022 Commander XTP Max in October. I have put only 117 kms of the machine and have been stranded twice in the woods when the bike wouldn't start because the battery died. Both times the battery wouldn't jump with a battery pack. The Dealer is claiming the stator cannot charge the battery with the heater and light bar on at the same time.

I should note the first breakdown was the day I picked up the machine and had only 2 kms on the machine. It was a nice day and neither the light bar or heater were turned on.

The second time was during daylight with only the heater being used. Both times this occurred when the machine was turned off and wouldn't start back up.

Has anyone experienced the same thing, or have experience with a commander running both a heater and light bar.

Thanks

You effectively have 600 watts of stator capacity. And that is max watts at higher rpm and sorry I do not know rpm it is rated at. So how many watts is the heater? and how many watts is the light? and did you also run the car lights at same time? and a sound system? and a radio? and a trail tablet? With the baby battery we have without much AH storage, as the voltage starts to drop the battery dies quicker, than the watts are going back in it.
At idle you should be showing around 13.9 to 14.3 volts and your dash meter has a display for that. If not getting that then the charging system is not working properly. However if you can drive it all day, during the daylight and no heater, without any problem, then an excessive load would be a place to check.
