I have a 2018 1000R max xt have read posts about changing the one way to a sealed bearings. My question is about the RPM ratings of some of the bearings referred to in postsand some kits being sold as upgrades. But what rpm rating are those bearings and kits?
I found SKF 61808 2RS is rated at 7500 rpm Timken has one 61808 2RS rated at 12,000-14,000 rpm. NTN 6808LLU 6,700 rpm…..
I am questioning the rpm rating. What rpm bearing range is the best?
Thanks

Troy tested many brands back in the day. The only ones that really held up were skf. But I’m given to understand that not all skf are not created equal irrespective of their brand and part number. IIRC ones that lasted are the ones that were made in France. Uatv-tech.com sells the ones that Troy settled on. I’ve been running them for 3000 miles so far with no issues.
