Combinition of Low Range Sport Mode and Reverse Lights Mods

I'm in the process of combining the Low Range Sport Mode mod and wiring for my 2" LED reverse lights. What I've done is make my own harness that plugs in between the transmission and the ecu so that I can run the signal through a switch mounted in the dash similar to the following post

I was also looking into adding the 2" LED reverse lights like this post

Instead of adding the limit switch to tell the lights that you are in reverse I thought of making a circuit that looks at the signal voltage from the transmission and when you are in reverse turns the LEDs on. Here are some pictures...

I made a harness that plugged in between the transmission and the ecu for the low speed sport mode mod . With that harness the transmission signal wire was ran up to the dash where the switch can either send the signal from the transmission or the signal that was made to replicate the signal of the transmission in high speed thus fooling the ecu to thinking you are in high when you are not. I got that idea from the low speed sport mode posts I linked to earlier. Since I had the transmission signal at the switch in the dash I can now use it to feed into a programmed PIC circuit I made that decides when you are in reverse based off the voltage of the transmission signal and turns on the reverse lights.

Yes I've tested it and it works I just haven't gotten everything installed yet. I programmed a PIC 16f628 to take the transmission signal voltage and see if it is between 1.2 and 2.0 volts and if it is then turn on a mosfet that provides a ground for the backup LED lights and turn them on.

1st pic shows wiring behind the dash & where to get the power

2nd pic show how I got the transmission signal to my PIC board that I programmed. The solid white arrow shows the wiring that takes the transmission signal to the PIC board. The white wire that does not have an arrow on it comes from the transmission. The green outlined arrow shows the wire that takes the signal to the ECU of the commander. The red outlined arrow shows the wire that has the voltage to trick the ECU to think the transmission is in High Gear.

3rd & 4th pic shows the routing of the wires for the Reverse lights through the engine tunnel.

1st & 2nd pics show the reverse light power plug that I mounted between engine tunnel and the dump bed.

3rd & 4th pics show the mating plug and it pluged in.

5th pic shows the LED wiring

Where in La are you?
Care to do another reverse light set up?

@Jcosmo

Hello from Romania. I have a simple question, maybe you can help me. I'm doing some mods to my Commander, including the low range sport, and I can't find the GBPS connector plug (male and female) part number/ manufacturer. Can you please give me a hint where I can find them, or a part number?
Thanks in advance,
Armadilo

I would like the info on the transmission connector plug also.
