New to the site, I have a 2013 1000 Ltd. Been having some brake issues. My left caliper is loose, and the hex bolt just spins. I cannot remove or tighten? I have attached a picture and circled the bolt. I think I need a Spring Bolt Boot Kit. Honestly I have no idea how to remove and install a new kit. Any help would be appreciated please.

I think you'll need to remove the caliper and dis-assemble in order to gain access to the back half of the part you have circled. Removal of the 2 hex head bolts shown in left picture should release the caliper assembly from the knuckle. Then remove the brake pad pins shown in the picture on the right. It should all come apart then. The 1st two bolts holding the caliper to the steering knuckle should have blue loctite on them. They should be quite snug to break loose, but not require heat

The service manual doesn't show it either. I've never had to take mine apart. I googled the part you're talking about, and it looks like the parts just screw together. There is apparently a shim or flat(ish) spring included. I truly believe that it will become evident/obvious as you take it apart. If you take good pics at each step of dis-assembly, it will help at re-assembly, in case of a brain fart. Farts happen.;)
