belt slipping at high rpm

Sounds like you did everything right, it is strange that it starts slipping at high rpm when the torque against it is minimized when your under motion. Maybe its the carbon in this belt not as sticky of a compound

Ok Brew you did catch something at first read I missed the soap on the clutches and I have heard this before about the soap soaking into the pores and not rinsing away fully and adding to non grip condition down the road so just being safe I have stayed away from it over the years and do keep an open mind as I continue, if this is true then why would it be ok to wash the belt with soap and water? well the same thing applies anything in or on this belt getting forced into the pores on clutch faces is bad even if its only oil from your skin from handling it. Now again I say this topic is full of opinions and I only aim to put more light on it and all are welcome to their own, with that I want to say that if you are going to use hot chemicals like acetone care must be taken to keep it away from inner bushings as it will break down the adhesive holding them in place alcohol is the safer choice for this and here is my (never, never) the belts are made with different compounds and these same hot chemicals can actually change this compromising the belt life in its own. On to breakin that no load cycling can"t be bad I give you that probly most won't go thru that portion but it's out there for all to think about thanks for sharing on the forum thats what it's all about:icon_ lala:

I ordered this belt through amazon prime and filed for a replacement under warranty which is on its way. I'm going to try again, maybe the belt was out of spec on length.
Good idea to compare all of your belts on length as it has been found they are not all the same (thanx bollax) BRP has decided not to let us set belt deflection on these things so you are stuck if you have one from the interweb and run it before you notice

Hey now theres an idea better start lookin thru the attic on some old ski-doo secondaries and kick that around a bit, if they were easier to get to and see more often I may have thoght of that but credit is yours thanx 4 sharing
