Hey guys, not sure if this is normal- but I get a ticking noise from the belt intake/breather ( at least I think it's the intake/breather/vent for the belt) . It's on the drivers side just in front of the steering. Is this normal? Should I be checking something? Thanks

What are the conditions when you're hearing the noise?

My initial guess would be that you're hearing the primary clutch. Either your clutch buttons (slider shoes) or weights, which could be sliding on the bolts that hold them or something like that. If you pull the cvt cover off, you'll get a better idea. Worn buttons make it look a little wobbly.

What sort of use has the bike had and how many miles?

Throwing this out there also as Troy has mentioned those sliders do wear a bit of the clutch material away after time and my new buttons @ 3000 miles didn't really tighten things up so I stamped out some shims to put behind them that are now up to .030 thou thick in fact I would have added another .010 last time but didn't have any more so it's gonna rattle for awhile longer lol Fact on the BRP sled primary's they have a spring on 1 side that keeps them snug for just about forever, not sure why they didn't use that design in these!
