Hi, My wife and I just purchased a new 2019 Defender hd8. We previously owned an Arctic Cat Prowler.

Congrats! How does the HD8 compare to the Prowler? What made you switch? I'm in the market for a new SxS now... looking for something to use on my 20 acres... and for hunting. What do you use yours for?

Our Prowler was a good machine it was just getting a lot of hours on it. We were beginning to have problems with the timing chain and were ready to move on to something with power steering. We work on a 500+ acre farm and have land in the bottoms near the Missouri River. Every few years we have to use our machine to haul sandbags and patrol the levees so sometimes it gets worked pretty hard. So far we are really happy with our Defender but we really haven't had to work very hard with it. I will try to upload a photo when I can.
