Defender Belt

Just a quick question.. Has any one heard of using the stock X3 belt on the defender? I rode with a few guys that swear this is the best replacement for the defender. I am in southeast Texas so these are the guys running 40" tires with some heavy modifications. But if it is lasting better than other belts, it may be worth considering..

Any thoughts?

Defender and x3 have same clutch and gearbox. So if the x3 belt isnít to short or to long it would have to be better belt.

yes.. Thank you. I was on a long weekend too..LOL

But if it is the same clutch and same size... why is the belt different? Or is it? I have no idea...

Not same belt same size . Yours oem is probably a nylon belt where the mav belt is sat raylon which is a stronger synthetic nylon. Commander quads and mav all use sane size belt . But each has different part number but the mav belt is the stronger of the 3 but it fits the others .
