Can am defender sport fenders?

I have the defender lonestar. My question I guess is more for any XMR owner who has the sport fenders on their machine. I have so much mud and water splash up on my lonestar every time I hit a puddle. I am going to get fenders but I don't like the look of the big fenders you can buy. I am just wondering how the sport fenders work and if they will keep the water from splashing in the cab? Right now my left arm gets covered every time I hit a puddle. lol Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to update this thread. I put the sport fenders on my defender and not the big bulky fenders. It was a night and day difference and they look really nice too. I strap a cooler full of soda in the box and before the fenders it was covered in mud. After the fenders hardly any mud was thrown into the box. And this last weekend we had an ATV rally and rode all weekend. Some of the trails where very wet. No mud was splashed up on the seats. Very happy with these fenders. I bought them off partzilla.com. They where OEM and about 30 percent cheaper than anywhere else I could find them. Hope this helps anyone looking at fenders for their defender. Also partzilla has very good prices on OEM parts and very fast shipping.

Nevermind. I did some digging in the virtual catalog, and it looks like it lists part number 715003898 as the sport fender flare set.....

Yes that is the part number. I really like them. They are $204 from can am and the same ones on partzilla.com are 160. just type that part number in the search on partzilla and they should pop up.

Its one of the first things I added. Really helps minimize cab mud. But I mine have broken in the screw holes already.

Beautiful ride , love the black
