What yr is your machine . If itís a 11/13 itís not worth fixing . You will have 400$ in parts and a new upgraded diff is 650$.

i have a 2013 1000X and apparently there was two diff numbers that came out in that year (don't know if they just changed stock #'s) mine is a 703501019
currently a bearing and seal kit (9pcs) is about 185.00 but the crown and pinion are over 400.00 alone
i have been looking for an aftermarket, currently a stock replacement is anywhere from 700.00 to 850.00 (from the dealer here in CA)

can am 1000 rear end

Guessing the second number is the updated part number . There was only one diff in 13 and it was a straight cut gear diff. With 90% premature failure rate . No aftermarket diff thatís any stronger to replace it . Mav diff only way to make it stronger . Than the replacement diff for the 13 model . Which is the same as the 16 and up rear diff. Dealer here sells the updated diff for 650+ tax . So 850$ is a rip find a new dealer .

but this is Canada, and i believe that we still pay the US price plus exchange rate, either way
do you know if the Mav diff is a straight swap or is there any mods that need to be done to the frame?
is the 2016 diff any stronger?

Commander diff is a quad diff. The mav is a sxs diff. Canampartsguy.com
its a kit not a direct replacement.

however i did find out that the XMR rear end is a direct swap with a new rear shaft,
any news on the durability of the XMR rear ends
this was from the dealer, they said that a 2016 and newer rear diff would be a drop in
