Fuel Pump Float Replacement

Has anyone found a replacement for the float on the fuel pump? I know there is a fuel pump assembly in the threads but I have seen comments where several just replaced the float but can't locate a source.

I wonder if a ping pong ball breaks down in gasoline? Seems like there ought to be some material one could use.

Hereís a pic of a float.

If the float sensor is still working just about any auto float should work .

Try canampartsguy on Ebay. I got a replacement float for $25 from him.

I reached out to him and he didn't have one. I found a float from DJS Tractor Parts that others have used with success so trying it out and crossing fingers it works. I figured it was worth the $25 to try before I replace the whole pump.
