Trimming down maverick windshield?

Anyone ever trimmed down a maverick windshield to fit a commander? Or overlaid one on the other to see if it could be done? I see a couple asks about this in years past but no answers back then. Photos look like the mav windshield is taller (lower bodywork). Keep finding mav windshields for sale and mine's shot.

I'm probably wrong but I thought the Mav and Commander windshields and tops were interchangeable.

Roofs interchange but from what I can tell the hoods are different so the bottom contour or the windshield is also..
