Good day all.

New to the forum, and, a first time Can Am/BRP owner.

Not only have I owned dozens of Yamaha products, I've also owned a Yamaha dealership. I was in the market for a side x side and I was very impressed with the Commander 1000XT. I've found the Yamaha has let their market share slip away by not keeping up with new product. Sadly the Rhino, which paved the road for the sport SxS industry has had no improvements, other than the Grizzly engine insert.
This is a big change for me, but with a ton of research, I'm confident in my decision.

2012 Can Am Commander 1000XT

Welcome to the site, Alberta.

I, too, considered the Rhino strongly and ultimately decided as you did. I still think the Rhino is a good machine and very reliable, but I am very happy with my choice. I think you'll be pleased, too.

Have owned a Rhino myself and it lost its appeal after a while. Welcome aboard from Utah.
