thanks guys didn't expect such a warm welcome so soon!! but i knew going into this it would be a money pit that is why i picked up the base model so i can put the extra on her

There is only one thing that I have not made better on my base than the X or XT and that it the damn gauges. The base has that dumb little speedo and I don't like it. Everything else for it is better and I spent less.... kinda.

Funny u mention the gauges that is the one thing I did order when I picked it up dealer just has to order 250 dollar part and reflash the ecm and u r done I will post the part # as soon as it comes in

I have been lurking around here for a year but getting closer to a purchase, congratulation on yours!! I'm leaning toward the base model but can't stand the stupid looking gauge. So did I read this correct, for around $250.00 you can buy the XT gauge cluster and have the dealer reflash the computer to accept it? That may seal the deal for me.

BTW, I saw on the Can-am accessory webpage that you can purchase the XT steering wheel for $150.00

Like everyone else, I hope that you saved some cash for addons - it is a cancer that will eat you up. I havn't bought a performance mod for any of my cars or boats since I bought the X - but I have added options every week to the X!

yes you can order the gauges direct form can am for i believe $375 and it is just two bolts and plug it it then just have the dealer reflash the computer but after paying for the thing outright i told them i wanted gauges at cost which is $250 so they say
