Can someone tell me where to locate my thermostat? I believe that is has gone out and I wanna change it or if I even need it? It would be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me where to find it.

If you have the 1000 it's here. Part number #93.

If you have the 800 it's here. Part #23.

You can see it by looking through the space between the front tire and the hood it's underneath the intake air box. Where the 3 hoses come together that's the thermostat. The reason there is 3 hoses is because there is a bypass that is suppose to recirculate some of the coolant and help warm the motor up. Some people clamp the bypass hose off so it doesn't do that and force the coolant through the radiator.

Does clamping the by-pass hose give you cooler running temps? Also, does anyone know the effects of removing the thermostat all together?
