Front QE Swap Poll

Ok, I have been reading good and bad results with changing out the OEM front diff to the QE Quick Engauge unit. I have one ready to install in mine and do not want to be dissapointed after the expense and labor involved. So this threads purpose is to determine if its worth it. So please express your experience here. Thanks In advance.

I love the qe so far, about 180 miles on it. Mine takes half a turn to engage, and I didn't notice the steering being any harder unless I was in 4 wheel drive, but I would buy a locker in a heartbeat, it suits my driving style better

It Comes Down To The Basics In My Eyes. When I Push The 4 Wheel Drive Switch Do I Have 4 Wheel Drive. The Answer Is No. I Do Not Push The Button Unless I Need 4 Wheel Drive. And In Can Ams Case The Machine Decides, Not You. Its A Very Poor Design If You Intend To Rock Climb Or Use It As A Mud Machine. I Would Suggest Waiting Until There Is A Reliable Front End Locker. Just My Opinion !

I like my QE. I think it turns a little harder, when your in 2 wheel. Much better than the stocker. Now I know that I will get 4 out of 4 to go!

It is a must for rock crawling. You also need to get unisteer power steering.
Worth the money!

Do it Ody, you will love most everything except the install time.

I did the power steering , Rackzilla and QE at same time, so cant speak for the stock steering with QE.

Its harder on stock axles for sure.

Rhino brand axles are just complete Junk. dont even waist money on them,

Broke 3 , and none lasted even 1/2 day

DUSTINH you have it a little wrong. For mudding visco loc works awesome. Can am quads rule in the mud with the exact same diff! The reason for this is tires slip in the mud very easily and slip is what makes the visco loc Qe engage. For mudding its one of the best diffs out hands down. For rock crawling a 100% locking diff would be better. I dont rock climb so this is not needed for my style. I do how ever crawl over allot of logs and the visco loc QE is a huge improvement over the stocker. Mine steers a little harder in 2 wheel drive and harder in 4 wheel drive. But its not that bad. I will be installing power steering this summer. For the guys that dont want to install there qe diff let me no asap!
