MRRPM.....Could you explain the mod you mentioned somewhere about cutting a piece of plastic off inside intake system for 5rwhp on top end?

I believe he's talking about the intake from the glove compartment.

I have this from one of his post... not clear to me either...

"As a side note, there is free power in your Commander, over 5RWHP, but it's in the upper range, like around 7800-8000rpms. Just do the following mod, and clutch for that rpm. Just saw off the plastic pipe sticking into the resonator, boom, 5RWHP! The ATV doesn't have this pipe."

I have my Commander completely apart right now... and have looked my resonator over from end to end and I can seem to find any "plastic pipe" to cut off...anybody?

I think he's talking about the part where it comes out of the air box and goes to under the passenger floorboard. I hooked my snorkel up to it.

I am thinking xb8walls is right...the problem i see here is that you are then basically opening up the air box to all kinds of schmenk...hence the pre filter which is recommended under the floor board...if i was going to do that, i would definitely want some kind of pre-protection on it...
That said, removing this does give more direct air without the 90 degree turn, kind of a pseudo Weller but without the real fine screen mesh and still not as much extra air as the Weller would give....just my .02 worth....that said, you are affecting air/fuel...so then what...fuel controller?
