I am wodering if the dirt is getting by the filter, or that the air box lid is letting some get by... reason being is when i check mine some times i have dust past the filter and sometimes i do not, i always make sure the filter and lid is seated but sometimes it is there and other times it is not???

I remember hearing about it then forgot about it, when the guys showed me on MLK weekend how bad it was I decided a big change was in order. I run a k&n on both my truck and quad, but something worries me about running one on the commander...... So I ordered and afe pro guard7 at the advice of a few friends that race. Something about having to replace that rotax scares me $$$$$

Are you greasing both sides of the k&N seal and that's been working???
Thanks dude I'm trying that today.
That's what's working for me... I used to get sand in the "clean side" all the time.

Hey Icky, all that sand didnt get through the filter, it gets by the cover. I think the cover gets warped or bowed and has some big gaps.. I am still figuring a solution..
