The commander read diff is locked. To that point it's not really a differential. It's just a straight ring and pinion.

i think he's looking more for having the option of it NOT being locked. i too feel like a rear diff would of been nice...

if you were to do something like that you would have to do outboard brake's in the rear as the one would just pull the car to the right..

I don't get it. It would just pull to the right??
Most if not all street cars have a rear diff that is unlocked.
Back in the day we had cars that had "posi-traction rear end" that would lock the rear end to give traction to both wheels.

I am looking to buy the new 1000 limited but not if I can't get the unlocking rear diff.

I now have the RZRs that I have installed an international rear diff that is unlockable .
Now I run about 90% of the time unlocked.

I thought I read some where on here that BRP has a euro version with a unlocking rear diff.

The pulling to the right would be attributed to there only being one disc brake in the back. Guess what side it's on. A second brake on the rear install would not be that difficult to do. I have read on here where the front diff can be installed in the back. I also read once where there was a red key in the works too

How does it work on the Euro version of the commander.
The ones they ship over seas have the unlocking rear diff (I think)

And what is a red key?

Hey, I believe I read those same stories, but once and only once
It started out like this, Once upon a time, in a land far, far away ...........
Red key ....................... NOT
