mrrpm bigbore kit 1150cc

Thinking about putting high comp pistons in my commander or mrrpm 800cc to 975cc bigbore kit 100mm piston and cyl on my commander 1000 I think with the longer stroked 1000 91mm piston commander motor with this kit it would make it a 1150cc

In 1987 I put NITROS on a Sea Doo just to get the jump on a junker Sea Doo that wanted to race all the time...He ran 40MPH and after spending a grand I won as long as I had gas... WTF keep it dependable , something that will run hard and finish the day... trust me this is the winning combo...

MrRpm has talked about not being able to do it with his Commander because of the ECU and throttle body restrictions. Call him and see if anything has changed. I know that if you "were" able to do it, you'd be laying the smack down on just about everything. His Outlanders are crazy fast.

Here's the thread. Maybe with the new PC5 out this has all changed.

1180cc BBKs are almost here

Dont know if its tested but if the commander has the same pistons and jugs as the commander it should work i thought brp said they just changed the crank stroke and left the cyl and piston the same as the 800cc to make it a 975cc if thats true it should just be a bolt on kit

I wouldnt go big bore on the commander. First there is no reason too and second it will not help til the intake is replaced. It is poorly designed and does not allow enough air to the motor after you modify it. The single throttle is not bad but not good either. Replacing the current pistons with 12:1 and doing head work is what this motor needs after the intake is done. This motor is solid but if you have the brp race box or K&T box then the ecu is not your problem. With the PC5 modified intake and mods to the throttle body the motor mods are open. If you know what you are doing it can be even more reliable then stock.
