Could you tell a difference going from stock to the gates belt? Smoother, jerkier, slip more or less? Thanks again.
Actually I thought the G-Force hooked up better and I still don't have any kind of jerky stuff the belt is smooth. When you get one compair the two and you will see the G-Force looks like it is made better. There are more grooves on the outside of the belt as well as on the inside of the belt. Also there is a kevlar coating over the inside nobbys of the belt if that's what that stuff is on there it is somekind of cloth anyhow. It just seems to get alot better grip on my factory clutching.

I have 300 miles on my machine and have gone through 2 oem belts already. I'm now trying the Dayco xtx severe duty belt. Will keep you posted. 150 miles per belt is pathetic. the machine is completely stock and NOT ridden hard. almost guessing there is a clutch allignment issue, what else could it be?!

Sorry to bust your bubble, but the Dayco belt is crap. The best belt out there is the OEM belt. The Gates belt is doing well so far, so you might want to give that a try. Did you come from a Yamaha Rhino by chance?? Seems former Rhino owners have the most belt problems when switching to the Commander. Not saying you did, just asking the question.

Ya..... Stay OEM.....you can mod the cvt exhaust and take the bends out which will help with air flow or you can purchase a cvt tech set up. If you stay stock make sure you alternate rpm frequently and don't try engaging slowly. The rotax engine is is designed for power

What kind of mods did you do to your CVT exhaust?

No i previously had a KQ750.

I bought the Dayco from a fellow rider who was having issues with the oem belt in his commander and has not blown one Dayco. My dealer agrees with what you just said though, and says the Dayco is worse. The machine is currently in the shop for warranty work to see if they can find a problem. The oem belts have been fried to a crisp which is odd for 40mph half thorottle trips across stubble fields.
