I put a stage 1 kit on my RZR and it was great, but for the big sand dunes I still wanted more hp. For me, lowering the engine compression so you can run pump gas is the only way to go. I think the stage 1 kit for the Commander is going to kick butt... the Rotax engine is great. |

I know several of the RZR guys have bolton turbo kits that produce 50 hp on the dyno, that's an additional 18 hp on a 32 hp stock machine. They aren't beatling everything or even a stock commander but they are happy and run pump gas and don't have to tear into their motor. That's the turbo people want on the commander beside there is no way that a turbo is going to produce 130 HP to the rear on a stock 62 rwhp machine and still be able to run pump gas.
I also ran a VERY detuned MCX Big Bore kit at the PPIHC and beat over 40% of the professional drivers and riders on my first attempt: 2010 PPIHC - UTV Premier - Polaris RZR Forum - RZR Forums.net |

The MCX-USA kit's are very simple and reliable. The only thing you do which could be considered going into the motor, is install a thicker head gasket to lower the compression. When applying boost you want to lower the compression, this also allows you to run pump gas. I ran the MCX-USA turbo kit on my 08 RZR and the kit performed flawlessly in the mud racing application. totally submerged the entire kit every race with zero issue. |
