Rear Wind Deflector Question

I love my front 1/2 windshield, but it comes with dust blow back problems as you can read in this string...........

Half Windshield Dust Blowback

Are any of our vendors working on an aftermarket rear wind screen as the $70 OEM mesh screen is not cutting it?

I was thinking more like a solid sheet of heavy hard coated plastic like the windshield and clamp it onto the back side of the bar. Who was our vendor that was making the aftermarket windshield. As I recall he put a bend in the plastic. It's gonna take two bends to fit over the rear part of the roll bar.

Where can we purchase 2" clamps for the roll bar?

UPDATE: I just called my plastic fabricator guy and he would use a 1/4" piece of plexiglas and put two bends in it for me. $75 material, $40 for bends.

I kinda like that. I don't really care for Windshields for offroad however to be able to unroll one for use in the winter plowing would be nice.

I dont recall if he's a vendor/sponsor on this sight but Axia Alloys makes some really trick clamps. bought one of there rear view mirrors and I think i saw some kind of billet windshield clamp. Expensive but so nice.

Now field tested..........

Tite tops rear cover stops about only 60% of the dust blowback

OK,

Here is the scoop. The last two weeks, I've been riding dusty trails in Nevada. It was the first chance I had to test the TiteTop rear wind screen.

The dust blow back has been reduced by about 60%, but I still had a ton of dust in the interior cab. The 1/2 windshield creates a major vacuum in the cab which sucks back the dust generated by the Commander wheels.

As you might remember, I modified the 1/2 windshield so I was able to mount it about 1 inch over the dash without it wobbling or bending at the bottom. I had hoped this and the rear wind screen would eliminate the dust blow back. Nope........

I had called Ody a couple of months ago and he suggested designing some form of a rear spoiler/wing that could be mounted on the rear top of the roll bar. There would be lots of ways to attach it to the roll bar, but it would take some experimentation as far as designing the most effective wing design to deflect the moving air to the rear bed area.

The only other option is to chuck the windshield and wear my old goggles
