Throttle Problem

Yes I have tried searching and came up empty with the search tags I tried.

My gas pedal seems to do nothing to the throttle until it is pressed prob 1/3 the way in. Is this a normal utv issue, can am, or my sole problem in general.

Thank You

Mine doesn't.... are you talking about the lag from the engine revving to when it engages with a clunk? If so then that is a Commander issue.

it is normal for commander, I'm sure its cause of the fly by wire throttle..

OK.....

No lag. I can press my throttle in about 2 inches and bike will not move. Just seems like play in the pedal.

Now my screen does say performance but it is the black key. My dealer told me he could program whichever key I wanted, black or grey, to be performance. I chose black. Cuz all my other bikes had black keys. However I was told the grey was supposed to be performance?

Correct. Usually the black key is the performance key and the grey the normal key and the orange is the work key(sold separately).

X2, mine went out completely and the whole throttle pedal assembly was replaced, that fixed mine.

Dave is right. There is a big difference in throttle response between being in sport mode and not being in sport mode.
