I blew my tailgate hinges off but nothing was hurt and its reinforced now with a year of solid towing on rough roads no more failures F350 No measurable mileage loss can still drive truck like I stole it while loaded. Win Win situation.

And start saving for a tranny and front end rebuild by 50k. If you want just a nice motor, buy a Dodge.

Nope, I would say you have been mislead or live on some seriously defeciant roads! My 08 3500 Cummins has got allot of power upgrades and a big aftermarket garret hair dryer and she is still going strong at 100000kms, good front end and tranny is perfect. 1250 foot pounds torque and 660hp. I pull 12000 pounds with my commander and boat and gear and boat loaded and full of fuel and I can average 16-18 mpg and cruise set to 110KPH climbing the Coquihalla which is one nasty pull!

I have 360 000kms on my 03...I did however blow the tranny but i replaced it with a Heavy Hauler from NADP out of Alberta rated for 800RWHP (triple disk, billet input, billet output, VB upgrade, etc..) It shifts awsome now...but costed a pretty penny ($6800 after core charge refund)
As for the front end; no issues besides regular wear and tear with 360000kms on it.

Munozca; What are you driving? Cause they all have their ups and downs. Either Ford (who changes their motors every second year.. so what does that tell you?) or Chevy (with their weak aluminum duramax motors and cheap "independent" front end thats built for a car! lol...but they have good trannys...not!... FYI those professional duramax pullers/drag racers often will put a built 48RE in to replace the allison...and the 48RE is what i have! yup..a Dodge tranny)

TheDealer; whats all done to your goat?? 660 is pretty impressive. Im not there yet, but after im done with fuel mods i shouldn't be far behind. I have the bullydog PMT loaded with crazy larry; stacked with dr.P pressure box (usually leave this weapon off); NADP tranny; HTT turbo 66/71/14 (not yet installed; need more fuel); intake and exhaust (4in to 5in); airdog 165 and CP3 upgrade to come...

I have the 6.7! I have taken to BD/ Valley fuels and spent allot of money on making a good hauler and got a little more power and torque out of it.

The major stuff is,

Edge Race double stack programmer.
Big Turbo and monster front mount intercooler.
Fass complete fuel system including blue giant injectors
Custom intake and CAI
Custom 4'' exhaust
DPF Delete
Cat Delete
EGR/EGR Cooler Delete
Studded Block and piston change
Machined head and valve work.
High Horse tranny
Triple disk Torque converter/ worked for hauling
Double Deep Tranny Pan and Huge Cooler
Front and Rear Double Diff Covers

And a few more things that I can't remember at the moment. I could make more power but I don't want to break it! I can haul most hills with 12000lbs at 110 KPH 70mph when I want to!!!
