D.e.s.s

It does not seem that too many people are talking about the DESS (Digitally encoded security system) ignition

I believe Bombardier have it on their Sea-Doo's and the ATV's
How effective is this in theft reduction?
Obviously someone can steal a commander but can they start it?

The technology sounds great, personally I think it is a huge advantage over Polaris (nothing against the RZR of course)

It is said that no one can start a Sea-Doo jet-ski with this fitted. What are people's thoughts?

cant start em without a key so unless you leave yer key in the machine they have to take it to the dealer to get a key made for it. the BUDS tells the dealers who the bike belongs to

I requested a second key for mine and the dealer gave it to me which isnt the norm I assure you. but on the other forms when people ask how to bypass the DESS I tell them if they cant take the bike to the dealer then give it back to its owner lol
