Has anyone had any issues with thier Commander frames?
When I picked my X (Serial # 270) up from the dealer back in November I noticed that the left front wheel had what I thought was a lot of Negative Camber. I mentioned it to my dealer and he said run it as is until the 10 hour service and he would check it out then. Well I finally got my 10 hours on the machine and dropped it off for the service yesterday. When I went to pick it up, the dealer told me they were waiting for BRP to call back on the Camber issue as they (dealer) could not adjust it. About an hour ago the dealer called me with the the BRP answer: The frame is off !!!! Evidently some Commander frames were incorrectly manufactured and where the front suspension bolts to the frame, they could be off up to 3/4 of an inch which screws the suspension up. BRP is offering me the following options: 1. $1000 in accessories and I live with the problem. 2. The dealer attempts to fix the problem AND BRP gives me some accessories. 3. BRP replaces the frame. 4. BRP gives me a new machine (This is NOT the option BRP wants me to take). Before I make my decision, I thought I would solicit the forum for thoughts on the issue.

I have noticed my passengers side is really leaning in. I know everyone is having problems with the drivers but anyone with the passenger side. I wanna stick a level on it this week end and see how bad but I would def. say a good inch. Only have about 250 miles on it as well so I wouldnt think anything is worn out already.

Steelworker, my passenger side is off a little over an inch. Havn't had the dealer look at it, didn't figure it would do any good. Maybe this winter.

I only know of a few that have had the frame replaced myself included. It's my understanding that BRP has adjustable "A" arms in the works to correct the problem. You also have the Turnkey adjustable arms option that you could present to BRP as solution. Their arms are much stronger than the OEM.

i have 2012 ltd and the rear passenger side wheel tills in about an inch . This machine has never been jumped or abused . I hope a new swing arm will cure the problem . Dealer is not sure what to make of it . If the brackets where welded wrong then its a frame problem .

yes the camber is off and no adjustment on the back that i can see. If i put a square on the tire and on a level floor an inch out at the top . I doubt a swing arm will cure the problem but i'll wait and see .

Have you tried checking how level/the position of the trailing arms mounting or hinging point is?
