Anyone out there running stock 800xt having any clutch, belt issues also what speeds are you getting? Mine is supposed to be in in march, just curious how they are working.

I have a stock 800 xt and I have not had any cluch or belt problems which should show up when plowing snow. As far as speed goes I have only had it to 65 mph but i know there was lots left. Got my 800 dec.1 so when the weather warms above 0 i will find out how fast it will go. Before I bought it I took a base 1000 for a test drive
and I think to find the power differince between a 800 and a 1000 they would have to be side by side. LOVE MY 800R XT

You should be able to get to the same top speed as the 1000, just a little slower.

I am from Macdowall which is about 17 miles southwest of Prince Albert. The last two or three summers I spent some time in St Walburg working there hauling asphalt.

I had to walk home today.This morning the check engine light come twice on my XT800 for a couple seconds each time and lost power. This afternoon the check engine light came on and the engine stopped. Waited a couple of minutes and it started and run perfect. About and hour later the check engine light came on the limp home flashed on the as the engine died which would not start again.
Called the dealer and he told me to chack the fuses and battery because plowing snow i my have drained the battery. All the fuses are fine and the battery voltage voltage was 12.5. I put a battery charger on it just to make sure and about 2 hours later i tried to start it. The engine will not turn over. I believe the engine is siezed. Will drop it off at the dealer monday morning. I have about sixty hour on this machine

My dealer is Pines. They have been great to deal with so far. I guess this will tell how good the are. I will let everyone know how it turn out.

Dropped my 800XT at the dealers this morning and when they tried to start it the engine turned over just fine but it still would not start. I called them this afternoon and they thought they had the problem solved till they drove it. They think they might have the problem solved now but want to keep it overnight and try it again tommorrow. The dealer said they will call me in the morning. Sounds like there not sure why it is shutting down but they seem to be trying hard to fix it. I guess thats all i can expect. Should know more tommorrow.
