Time to compile everyone's questions in ONE PLACE........everyone add your own questions into the list or just post and I'll put on list for you.....print out the last updated post before you go test ride.....then post your own thread with your impressions and answers....will start it out with a few of the latest questions:
1- Winch wiring..prewired front and rear? what models? 2- Room for wide boots between the pedals? 3- 18% power reduction on test rides? 4- no parking brake? any issues with binding tranny on hill? 5- hard, heavy steering? (on sand?) (on trails?) 6- heat in the cockpit? 7- access under hood cover? motor cover? 8- easy to check oil? And so the list shall grow....................................Lance 9- What is the widest spot they measure to get the 58.6 width? (Xelvic) 10- Do the Rock sliders on the X make it wider than 58.6? (Xelvic) 11- Is there a width difference between models, because they have two different tire makes? (Carlise/Bighorns) (Xelvic) 12- Compare TTI (Barbara) 13- 14- 15- 16- 17- 18- 19- 20- Last edited by OSOKILL; 07-28-2010 at 02:47 AM. Reason: keeping list in order |

(10) Do the Rock sliders on the X make it wider than 58.6? (for my 5x8 trailer) (11) Is there a width difference between models, because they have two different tire makes? (Carlise/Bighorns) Bighorns run taller, but I don't know if they are wider. Everything for me basicaly comes down to if I can get the X on my darn 5x8 trailer. I can tell you the rear diff is locked. The front diff is a visco lok configuration that you can read all about in the Outlander forum. Don't know what the gear ratio would be though.

I can ansawer some of the question.
About the PARKING BRAKE they do not have one. They say they do not have the sticking in gear problem that the RZR has so they don't need one. But I am going to install a park brake in mine. The cockpit does get perty warm. You have that big Engine sitting right there next to you and it puts out some heat. You won't need a heater in the winter. I have size 9-1/2 D boots I was wearing when I took my ride and I never had a problem with the space bettween the petals, but I do drive a Subaru. The STEERING I did not think that it had heavy steering, I thought it steered great, it was a lot of FUN to drive, and I felt safe as a passiger while I had someone driving like he had just stole it. Not like what I felt like when I went in a ride as passiger in the Rinno and the A/C I felt like I was going to fall out in them. All that is under the hood cover is the air cleaner box and that is all. hope this helps. Carl |

I'm going to install some insulation under the engine cover and wrap the exhaust. That should take care of the heat issue. I don't need anymore heat in Arizona, even in the winter time.
