visco-lock

I also have a 08 can-am renegade and have about 3,000 miles on it,and its locker. It will lock up in about 2.5-3 turns. My commander takes 8 to 10 turns. So im not happy with that.I have checked the fluid level and its good.Trying to find out whats normal,I might have a bad one.

Mine is the same and I am also not totaly happy about it. I read that Can-am did not want to go with the quicker locking newer style front end because of the lack of power steering. The lock up might pull the wheel around but I don't know if that is fact.

I wouldnt mind seeing about just removing the whole front-end drivetrain, axles and all.
I using for the sand and really dont need/want more than the rears driving.

Good idea, eliminate a few front end pounds and remove a bit of power loss, add a turbo to that and your power to weight ratio would be close to a sport quad. Now you got me wishing I was 11 hrs closer to a sand dune.

I wonder if the Q.E. is compatable with our fr. diffs. and what kind of help we would get from Can-am if it could be installed.
