I hope Can Am, Highlifter and Eaton are watching this thread; HUGE response and interest.

The people on this forum know their stuff, it has been an education.

I will be waiting for something from Eaton...

All the money spent on the qe someone probably couldve thrown a ranger or a rhino or a teryx diff in there and had custom axles and drive shaft made and been done with it. i know if it was something that was hindering my type of riding I would've done something about it already. the only concern I'd have is the gear ratios matching....

Seems like too much trouble if u ever broke one of those one off custom axle shafts trying to remember custom length and mixed up ends. No thanks. Otherwise I'd be all over a popo front diff or maybe a Kawasaki but I don't think a rhino would like the horsepower being multiplied like that lol.

I looked into it and could not find a matching gear ratio.

The visco lock has been around for along time in the Outlander. I remember when I had my Outlander and was on the ATV forums, this was talked about to death. I read about rumors that the after market locker companies where working on something way back then. They never came through with anything. I wouldn't hold my breath that because us Commanders guys are interested that they are going to build something. If anything they would have done it for the ATV guys because there are 50 to 1 Outlander/Renegade owners compared to Commander owners. I think if anything, some guy in a small shop will come up with the solution before the big locker companies do.

Well acording to Khrome someone already has. I would like to know if that front diff. he has will let you turn when it is in 4 heel drive, or if it just goes straight?

That was kinda of my point, I just don't see the market for the large "locker" manufactures to take on the Visco Lock. It will be the guy who owns a small shop that will come up with a solution for a niche market, kinda like these guys. If they really have something that works, they need to get the info out there and watch the orders come in.
